FCS on Bullying
Make a Difference in a Student’s Life
One way we walk our talk.
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Eph 4:29
As people who are called to live righteous lives that encourage and build others up in a healthy environment, appropriate discipline shall take place when individuals subject others to acts that run contrary to or work against Biblical values. We do so with the aim to protect those who deserve protection, to warn the offender and others of the dangers and sinfulness of such actions, and to bring reconciliation when possible. Christ calls on the school and parents to partner as peacemakers in the process of training and teaching young students.
“By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:16-18
Part of the discipline and reconciliation process involves notifying the school of incidents that may be considered bullying. We strive to make FCS a safe place for your child. If you think your child or another child has been subject to bullying, please first go to this website to learn more about what is and is not bullying since not all conflict is bullying: https://www.stopbullying.gov/
Please use the form below to submit a notification of such an incident, if after reading, you have determined it is bullying.
Your association with this report will remain confidential unless you indicate to the school administration that you are willing to be identified during the investigation. However, please be aware that, depending on the circumstances, some investigations may reach a point where it cannot proceed any further unless the reporter is willing to be identified. If that is the case, and the reporter wishes to remain anonymous, the investigation may end at the point with no determination made.
