Our Mission & Core Values

Family-Focused, Christ-Centered, Shepherding Scholars

To see all students know their identity in Christ and impact the world for His glory.

Flagstaff Christian School is Family-Focused

  • We partner with families in their child’s education and spiritual well-being.
  • We put the family first in field trips, volunteering, chapel, pledges, and every aspect of our day.
  • We encourage parent participation through volunteer opportunities, consistent communication, and weekly parent prayer times.
  • We support family relationships through a four-day school week and an adjusted academic year calendar.

Flagstaff Christian School is Christ-Centered

  • We value Biblical immersion through all subject matter and relational interaction.
  • We focus on the heart when the need arises for discipline or encouragement using a Christ-centered, trauma-informed approach.
  • We build positive character and leadership traits modeled by Jesus Christ and not limited to love, honesty, integrity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, self-control, gentleness, empathy, and faithfulness.
  • We disciple each and every student in the teachings and love of Christ.

Flagstaff Christian School Shepherds Scholars

  • We individualize education so that each student is learning at their level. This can look like differentiated learning or placement in an advanced core subject area.
  • We take a holistic approach to educating the child, including their academic, physical, mental, and spiritual growth. We offer athletics, fine arts, mission trips, and extracurriculars as ways to develop the whole child.
  • We are mission and service-minded, giving students the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ.
  • We empower teachers who are a living testimony of Christ and bring the gospel into their daily interaction with students.

Expected School Outcomes and Expected Student Outcomes

CORE VALUE 1: Flagstaff Christian School is Family-Focused
CORE VALUE 2: Flagstaff Christian School is Christ-Centered
CORE VALUE 3: Flagstaff Christian School Shepherds Scholars

View the full document of our Expected School Outcomes and Expected Student Outcomes HERE.

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, accurate, and authoritative Word of God. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity and in the humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ, is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved unto the resurrection of life; and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal separation from God. We believe Christian unity is necessary to accomplish the mission Jesus has entrusted to His church here on earth.
